Hey
Recently in the Unity editor, every once in a while when I'm flying around a scene, or even just opening a game object in inspector, the Unity engine freezes, I see the really annoying beachball, and then maybe 20 seconds later it crashes, I get a message offering to send a diagnostics report to Apple and an option to reopen Unity.
I have restarted my mac and looked for a solution for ages but I can't work out the problem. I sent a bug report using the Unity bug reporter containing my project and how to reproduce it but I haven't gotten a response in about a month, so I'm turning to Unity Answers for help. I know that a few macbook users must have this problem, because I saw some people with the exact same problem on Unity Forums, but no-one answered it.
If I look in my console log, I can see that everything is normal until I get this message
> /7/15 11:00:15.743 am Unity[1474]: void glrAppleSyncState(GLDContext, bool): Aborting: error with call to GHAL SP BindPipeline after 0 attempts with forceSendState as 1
The next message is
>23/7/15 11:00:37.514 am com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (com.unity3d.UnityEditor5.x.17072[1474]) Service exited due to signal: Abort trap: 6
And then the final message is
> 23/7/15 11:00:40.513 am ReportCrash[1580]: Saved crash report for Unity[1474] version Unity version 5.1.1f1 (5.1.1f1) to /Users/MyUserNameHere/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Unity_2015-07-23-110040_Devins-MacBook-Pro.crash
Around this point the editor crashes and the beachball dissapears
Any help here would be greatly appreciated as this is an issue Ive had for quite some time
Thanks
↧
