This is not a question, but another solution for a problem that I had been having every time I tried to download assets from the assets store on Windows 10.
I would always get the error "Cannot connect to IP address ____, port ____ , connection refused". Having tried everything shown on the forum and spending days on this problem, I was finally able to solve the problem and download my first asset from the store.
I followed these steps for Windows 10:
1. Click start, then click settings
2. Select network and internet
3. Select proxy
4. Behold, when I got my new pc and unknown to me, manual proxy server was enabled. As soon as I disabled it, I could download the asset. I found this answer after a long process, if this has already been suggested, disregard the post. I wasnt able to find this step so I am suggesting these steps.
Along with checking proxy settings, also check firewall settings, antivirus settings and inbound traffic rules (although these may not be the main problem).
